Local Law 152 Gas Inspections

Beginning on January 1, 2020, gas piping systems in all buildings, except for what NYC DOB classifies in occupancy group R-3, must be inspected by a licensed master plumber once every four years. Failure to conduct the inspection by the end of the year may result in a $10,000 fine. Additionally, building owners must keep all reports and certifications on file for ten years and make them available to the DOB upon request.
